Arch Mayfield
Arch Mayfield came to Fort Worth from Plainview, Texas, where he taught at Wayland Baptist University for many years. He holds B.A. in Political Science, an M.A. in English from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Ph.D. in English from Texas Tech University. Dr. Mayfield served as President of the Conference of College Teachers of English for 2012-2013. His essay on satire appears in the two-volume encyclopedia All Things Dickinson. At TCU he serves as a writing tutor at the Center for Writing. His recently co-authored essay on the work of Sue Monk Kidd, is slated for publication in a collection about Kidd in Spring 2023.
