Peer Writing Consultants

 

Our team of peer writing consultants is an invaluable part of the staff at the Center for Writing. A lively mix of graduate and undergraduate students who have proven themselves as good writers, they work individually with other students via Zoom, assessing their strengths and weaknesses, and assisting them with acquiring new writing strategies. They also respond to students who submit their work on our Online Writing Lab, or OWL.

After being selected to work with us, our peer writing consultants participate in an ongoing training program based on current writing center theory and research. They work closely with senior staff to develop their repertoire of tutoring and writing skills, and to grow as young professionals. Because of their hard work, we serve a much larger segment of the TCU writing community than would otherwise be possible.
